Yes, you do need an architect. Architects help make your custom home exactly what you want it to be. How long does it take to build a home?
Dependent on the size of your home, you can anticipate the building phase to be completed in 9-12 months.
How long does it take to design a home?
The design phase can take up to 6 months to a year. This is dependent on work with the architect.
Is Las Campanas the only gated community in Santa Fe?
Santa Fe has many gated communities! From right in town, to out in Tesuque, there are plenty of options to look at when wanting to build in a gated community.

Is mountain building expensive?
Building in the mountains can present some challenges, such as large rocks that must be excavated or clay-filled soil. We recommend having exploratory soils testing done before buying a lot and certainly before any work can begin.
What is a soil test?
A soil test allows us to know exactly what we’re working with on the potential home site. Where and what your home sits on will be imperative to the longevity of your home. We test for a multitude of issues, to ensure your home will be sitting in the same place 50 years later.
